I have four usb mice and two 3.0 USB hubs. Connecting the mice to a USB3 port on my computer via the USB3 hubs do not work in any combination. Since the hub+mouse work on 3.0 ports on my wife's Windows 10 box, it works on USB2 ports on Linux and OS/X, and it _used_ to work with a 4.1 kernel but does not work with a 4.4.85 kernel; I really strongly suspect a driver issue. I kind of doubt that both Plugable and Kingston hubs happen, by chance, to have the same issue. Pretty unlikely. If the problem has been fixed since 4.4.85, I wouldn't know, but likely someone would. -- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-usb" in the body of a message to majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
