same was happening on ubuntu 14.04 kernel 3.19. i upgraded hoping that
would fix the issue, but with no luck.
there was a difference thou. under 3.19 system would freeze during
boot until the drive was unplugged but now i goes past boot but the
problem described in the first mail persist.
I disabled UAS as recommended by multiple users on different forums i
now i dont get as much i/o errors but the drive still disconnects and
connects indefinitely
