I assume there are devices out there with the same device ID, the same ff/ff/ff interface descriptors, but with QMI/net on interface #0. Could you post the complete lsusb output? I believe it is important to document that for the future in case we have to redo this later. Which is likely given the experiences so far - there might be other devices using the same ID with yet another layout.
