[linux-usb] HID: Telephony Device Page (0x0B): Phone Mute (Not Speaker Mute)

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi linux-usb community,

By reading document "USB HID Usage Tables" version 1.12 dated 10/28/2004, it seems that section "15 Consumer Page (0x0C)" only supports Speaker Mute (usage id = 0xe2), and section "14 Telephony Device Page (0x0B)" supports Phone Mute (usage id = 0x2f).

It looks like Windows USB host supports this Telephony Usage page (0x0B) above.

I can get USB-HID Consumer usage (vol+, vol-, speaker mute) working by using usb hid gadget. I gave a try of Telephony Usage Page and Phone Mute a try, but no success.

Anyone tried and got Phone Mute working?

Is this Phone Mute the right approach to support Microphone Mute (rather than Speaker Mute)?

Thanks.
