Hi!

When using a ZTE usb modem (that works correctly) I found a "please report the
device ID to the Linux USB developers!" message in the /var/log/syslog file of
a computer running Kubuntu 14.04.

The command "uname -a" answers
     Linux laptop 3.13.0-32-generic #57-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jul 15 03:51:08 UTC 2014
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

The ZTE usb modem is:
     Manufacturer: ZTE INCORPORATED
     Model: MF668A
     Revision: BD_MF668AV1.0.0B04

Those were the last lines of /var/log/syslog:

19d2:0117 is already supported by the option serial driver so no need for adding it. What we see here is a device not being stable on the usb bus and the same has been reported for Ubuntu 14.04, multiple switching due to the device being reset.
What kind of USB port is it connected to, USB 3.0?
