Yep, also VIA controller, and works for you on 3.11 (this part at least)
So I think this verifies the assumption.

Cause is that SLOT ID filed of a command completion event for a reset device
command always returns "0" on VIA controllers. I'll (or Saran) create a fix. we're
very late in the 3.15 rc cycle so I think the fix won't get in until kernel
version 3.16
