I have the following hardware: * Lenovo Thinkpad x230 * Ericsson H5321 gw WWAN card Whilst the 3G card can connect, it's very unreliable. It * drops out during use (a USB disconnection) * is often not available after a suspend-to-RAM * sometimes gives "Modem hangup" in pppd after ATDT command The common and most reproducable is that the WWAN card likely does not come back up after suspend-to-RAM. See below for the dmesg on resume (see below, kernel 3.10.30). I feel it could hold an explanation, as the 3G card is so noisy during this process. Anything in the "add hid device: -71" error? I also saw what appeared to be the same issues using a standard Fedora 20 boot USB as a test, which seemed to be using new cdc stuff instead of pppd. I've checked the hardware, and re-seated it. I can see others who appear to be having similar problems http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=130708 http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=107986&sid=aac0bde3ea3dfe04f5f00921d44f8997&start=15 http://www.confesstalk.com/tech/problems-getting-built-in-3g-modem-ericsson-h5321gw-usb-id-0bdb1926-working-on-my-lenovo-x230-debian/ Is there any lead I can follow here?
