Just to be clear, ASoC is the mainline embedded audio subsystem rather
than something out of tree like the Android patches. ASoC has been
undergoing a lot of development recently so there's some substantial API
differences between 2.6.36 and 2.6.37. The suggestion is that it would
be easier all round to drop the newer version of the subsystem into the
Tegra tree so that the Tegra drivers can be developed against the post
2.6.37 version.

This would mean that the linux-tegra tree would be carrying the
subsystem diff for 2.6.36 but that diff should just vanish when moving
forward to 2.6.37 and beyond, and rather than having to do all the API
updates out of tree the drivers should be able to carry forward
smoothly. It should also mean that the drivers can be merged into
mainline much more readuly.
