When I run speakup with espeakup, it pronounces "Hello Dr. Jones" as Hello Doctor Jones" When I run speakup with Dectalk, it pronounces "Hello Dr. Jones" as Hello drive Jones. But When I do echo "Hello Dr. Jones\n" > /dev/ttyS0, the Dectalk says, Hello Doctor Jones. So the dectalk can interpret Dr. as either doctor or drive.
