As an elimination test, why not install elvis and try the same things in elvis. It's possible code for those things differs from vim and may not produce those errors.

Hi,
Arrow keys have always worked fine.
The problem is only with the vim's j, k, w, b navigation in normal mode.
f and t movement commands are also not reported reliably.
