Hi Hart. It's not a "null". It's a special Norwegian character. Actually it is a Scandinavian character also found in Danish and Swedish. Change text encoding to Unicode :) It looks similar to an "O" and "o" for lower case of course. If you used to have sight you may remember how "O" looked like and "?" is actually just an "O" with a diagonal stroke. Some U.S speech synthesizers actually pronounce it "O stroke".
