Debian & serial fix

You may be able to use the kernel  I compiled for my debian machine:

http://www.math.wisc.edu/~jheim/downloads/linux-image-3.2.2-08_3.2.2-08-10.00.Custom_amd64.deb

Otherwise, you should explain what problem you had compiling the kernel.
