ubuntu 11.10 speakup and orca don't work together

Hi

So I am looking at my /etc/default/pulseaudio file and here are my current settings:

pulse audio system start 1

Disallow module loading 0

Is that correct? Now I still am trying to figure out how to add all my users to the pulse-access group.

Regards

Now the problem is that I cannot have speakup and orca running at the same time. it's either one or the other, I think depending on the order that I log in. If I log into unity first, orca works and speakup doesn't, and if I log on to the console first, then speakup speaks and orca doesn't.

I've been searching the internet for the last several hours for instructions on how to make pulseaudio run in systemwide mode in ubuntu 11.10, and have essentially turned up nothing. It looks like they really don't want you to figure this out. Has anyone found a solution for this problem?
