Hi Cheryl, You should be able to fix this with a change to your config file. Apparently, brltty tries to use the at-spi screen driver by default, hence the messages about dbus. Open up /etc/brltty.conf and find the line that says: #screen-driver lx # Linux and uncomment it. There are tabs in that line. Simply searching for lx should take you directly to it. Hope this helps.
