problem with voxin and speakup

It's not hard, but you don't have to. The problem is most likely your
/etc/apt/sources.list file. I got the order of the PPAs wrong in the
last VInux/Ubuntu lucid ISO, and in previous instructions to this
list. Your /etc/apt/sources.list file should have:

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/vinux/vinux-lucid/ubuntu lucid main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/vinux/vinux-lucid/ubuntu lucid main
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/vinux/vinux-karmic/ubuntu karmic main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/vinux/vinux-karmic/ubuntu karmic main

If you have the karmic PPAs listed before the lucid PPAs, that's
probably the problem. Fix that, and 'apt-get update' and 'apt-get
speech-dispatcher-voxin' should do the trick.
