USB device in Accessible debian install CDs

I have tried this numerous times, but brltty never gets started.  unlike on my desktop machine where brltty gets started right away.

Mmm, I don't understand why: if the USB drivers get started, brltty gets
started, and so you can start reading the screen, what is the problem?
