Restoring grub legacy

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Okay, I finally found the problem in bios that kept me from booting
from the cdrom. I had a netinst cd that I used and created a shell and
mounted my system and chromed into it. I used aptitude to remove grub
and install grub-legacy. But now I can't figure out how to install
grub on the system. I've gotten nowhere with grub-install as I can't
seem to get a device name to work. How do I proceed from here?

Tia.
