Hi, do you have a braille display or another access medium for your computer? In that case I would suggest to completely remove Speakup and all its depending files and reinstalling it completely. Did you compile the kernel or install Speakup as external modules? In the first case I don't know how to remove Speakup from the kernel, but I think that other list members have tips. Hermann
