OT email me privately if you can help.

Hello,
Just got a USB to serial adaptor. I installed the driver for it
earlier, and I plugged it into my laptop. The first thing I did was go
into /dev and looked for an object. Found

tty.usbserial-FTKVMAFF

When I went to test my doubletalk with the echo command I couldn't get
my doubletalk to talk. I tried redirecting echo to the object above
also tried /dev/ttys0 with no luck. I was told on a mailing list that
even though a user couldn't get there synthesizer to work with echo it
worked with there screen reader. So I tested it with yasr my screen
reader. Couldn't get my doubletalk to talk. The only thing I can think
to do would be to edit the yasr screen reader configuration file to
say instead of

synthesizer port=s0

Change it to say

synthesizer port=tty.usbserial-FTKVMAFF

But don't know if this would work.
