From what I was told by the company that makes the USB to serial adaptor, I don't need a driver for the os I am running mac os x 10.5.7 the person I had talked from the company had me go to my apple menu and there was a listing under USB that said something like USB-serial the person I talked to said that the adaptor cable is alright.
