Hello!
Yes, finally after some working, it works for me too.
A warning though, don't use depmod when you have this installed.
If you do you'll get my problem.
But don't panic, if you get my modules problem just remove the speakup 
modules, and reboot your computer then it works again.
Then install speakup modules once more and you'll be fine.

Yes. It wasn't working for me, and now it is... I obtained it from
unstable, but thanks!
