First, it is not official. Quoting the url and implying that it is officially supported by Debian is wrong. Samuel and others are working on official Debian packages but the Shane install CD and kernel image aren't. Second, the installer is for Etch only so there is no way to directly install Lenny or use the latest Debian Installer boot images from the Shane url. Finally, the kernel image is very, very old and has numerous known security problems which will never be fixed. Someone previously posted that the security issues are Debian specific. That is also incorrect. All the kernel security problems which Debian has fixed in the latest images have CVE numbers and are clearly documented in their security advisories.
