Well, actually I must still use trn on Shellworld, as last I tred in FC6 it would not completely compile. Now I am in FC9 but I have not tried since. I did write an author of trn--and he said he would try-and-compile on a modern system. trn does not have yenc support, so I pipe raw binary messages from pine through uudeview While there are several scripts to grab binaries, you must know an exact sequence.
