Hi, you must set up Espeak as the default synth. To do this, check out the following files: /etc/speech-dispatcher/speechd.conf /etc&speech-dispatcher/modules/espeak-generic.conf When you install grml to your harddrive, make sure you've carefully read all the questions put during the procedure. One of it deals with the fact whether you want to start your system using assistive applications. There's a grml mailinglist, for details see the grml site. Hermann
