Hi, swspeak does work excellent under grml 1.0. Did you type the word when the CD stops the first time? If not, it is not available. Which synth do you use? If you want a synth other then flite, which is standard on the CD, you must set it up manually. Note: The grml team included espeak into the package, and in English it works well, although there are some problems with other languages (I informed the team). Hermann
