I seem to recall that one of them does in fact give you the info you're looking for, so if ftpwho isn't doing it, ftpcount might. Also, passing the -v flag to ftpwho will give you more information, if you haven't tried that already. Of course, man ftpwho, and man ftpcount will tell you specifically what each does, and what options are available.
