For the record you might want to consider Snom Vo/IP handsets rather than the Ciscos. Salient difference being that Snom's web based configuration interface is eminently accessible with lynx, whereas Cisco's is pretty inaccessible no matter what browser you might try and use on whatever operating system. Yes you can push configurations over tftp, but you should also be able to configure the handset directly, imho. The latter is much easier when you're learning.
