-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512 Hi all. I remember seeing a post similar to this, however it was Zsh-related. I started using 2.6.16.19 not too long ago, and now I hear a high-pitched beep every time I backspace, eventually followed by the regular beep when one hits the beginning of the line. I don't think this is a Bash setting, since I don't hear the beep in 2.6.11.7. I'm going to look through the options under something like Misc input devices to see if there's anything there; in the meantime, anyone know what option I should look out for in the kernel config to turn this off? Thanks. - -- Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both. - -- Benjamin Franklin -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iQIVAwUBRH4pG6e2pgKIdGq4AQr8MQ//eRJmtlH1xtcafdu62hBR+8ta1MnFT4Fx +amsLaXw4LR1H+VzffT/tSvhkKag2pcky9q5nnzVq9svPAxn9RGJH6noiEH+fJ0H nuBf+C+Sd3nfm5khsNUIs7394ST5+3x18y2xtd2vZrwV/HHyOEdGDLhfy0cycLE9 Fb/Aw8Q4br0+yShXTdAtienXN/q3oZjTJEb0h5g84CZRIO31Ig7CxXQhc2nZ4DcJ +MM+TGU/LQ+fGuTswm1BL+bmFEgEUFyfsIWOq/QF3jdjRYl2dLlFvSCIR658iLzT xCVnmzLn1VlYJhP4g+I4FNqSMqqopE04asM5B9HA6wKAYCmg5CUbDU0ivtiKTW92 sgJpSFcFTD4Us1EzuT6sOyDnTfalSAgXsvdJ52vyDUKJoDVINKPOixMqo9E3L9U6 6coh/ur7iLZAllvjNk7IwspkptWFKFNoFO5vo2Z+MHzFgPQkn4t4SReFeipRsHlR N8GIWTVZiKVb2RtNrNkHk8/7zef0a99RsDcXGMvplWHjPvuQkDmzfgXQL3iLoCvY W9KUfhAdjGuZ79kyRdIjQwyu0SL0e/S+6wWtFSAs0ZgMgqrdDCmMki+pWf4v/Vh9 Mf30T/8oXrE5SIDgS1IM/PB1wPiAnu5k+zk5qhq/Fc/NWuNQSMnwxxSC3r+hl9aQ X1YeC/KRmNY= =YnQg -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
