Questions about speech dispatcher 0.5

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Dear Michael Whapples,
First I started installing speech-dispatcher-0.6 to use speakup with
soft synth. it did not ask about flite libraries. Speech Dispatcher 0.6
did not recognise glib-2.0 though lib-2.0 is in /usr/local/lib. Then I
started to install speech dispatcher using 0.5. now is there any means
to see that speech dispatcher 0.6 find the libraries glib-2.0?
Hope to hear from you.

To: satyanarayanamurthy.tanikella at gmail.com; Speakup is a screen review
system for Linux.
Subject: Re: Questions about speech dispatcher 0.5

Speech-dispatcher 0.6 is more recent. As for the question about the
other
versions (speech-dispatcher 0.5rc1 0.5rc2, etc) these are just earlier
versions. The rc numbers are versions just before the offical release to
try
and find bugs to make the release as stable as possible.

I would guess that there speech-dispatcher, speechd-up, and flite rpm
packages for fedora availble, which would make things simpler, but I may
be
wrong about all of those being in rpm's.
