Speech-dispatcher 0.6 is more recent. As for the question about the other versions (speech-dispatcher 0.5rc1 0.5rc2, etc) these are just earlier versions. The rc numbers are versions just before the offical release to try and find bugs to make the release as stable as possible. I would guess that there speech-dispatcher, speechd-up, and flite rpm packages for fedora availble, which would make things simpler, but I may be wrong about all of those being in rpm's.
