On a similar note, does anyone happen to know the name of the Debian package containing the OSS libraries? I'm also running GRML on a laptop and really want to find out how Espeak sounds. To do this, though, I need the OSS libs to compile Port Audio, which is in turn needed for Espeak. On Saturday, May 13, 2006, 2:24:04 PM, you stood on a roof and loudly proclaimed: > I've found that if you change aplay to play in espeak-generic.conf, > atleast for me with grml, it gets rid of the one-second pause when > killing aplay. I like it so far, but it just can't go fast enough. > _______________________________________________ > Speakup mailing list > Speakup at braille.uwo.ca > http://speech.braille.uwo.ca/mailman/listinfo/speakup ------------ Stephen Clower Email/.Net Messenger: steve at steve-audio.net AIM: AudioRabbit03 Yahoo: sclower2003 Skype: sclower Check out my little home on the web at http://www.steve-audio.net
