The following worked for me. Well, I should say I got no errors, I was able to install and boot the kernel it made, and I was able to start speakup woth a tripletalk external synth. However, it did seem to hang my machine. But I'm working on that soekris computer that has no video. I don't know how to get a console that does *not* use the serial port.
