Hi Juan, Yes, you can install FC5 via telnet on a virtual machine. Here's what I do. Create a virtual machine and for operating system type, choose "other Linux" or "other linux, 2.6 kernel". Choose IDE rather than SCSI, and allow VmWare to allocate the full amount of disk space you intend to use rather than allowing it to grow as needed. Once the vm is created, edit the properties for your CDRom to point to the DVD iso of FC5, or the first disk in the group of CD isos for FC5. Once you've powered on the vm, it takes a little guesswork to determine exactly when to begin typing, but I usually wait about three seconds after I hear the VM look at the floppy drive. You can type the following to initiate a telnet install with DHCP. Linux text telnet dhcp Alternatively, you can assign an IP address by typing, for example, linux text telnet ip=192.168.0.1,netmask=255.255.255.0,gateway=192.168.1.1,ksdevice=/dev/eth0 Once the install is complete, don't forget to change the properties of the CDRom so that it no longer points to the iso. Otherwise, you'll get confused as to why you can't SSH in to the machine, neglecting to realize that the vm is still booting from the installation media. Not that I speak from personal experience or anything, grin.
