You should be able to get the kernel from linux-speakup.org and installing it should go something like: Switch to a console with control alt and f2. Log in as root. Cd to the directory where the rpm of the new kernel lives. Type rpm -ivh kernel-name.rpm I use ivh as that will install the new kernel but leave the existing one intact. It can be a good idea if something goes wrong. When you reboot the computer you'll have to select the new kernel from the list. I'm afraid I cant help you there though. Upgrading the kernel with the command rpm -Uvh kernel-name.rpm will get rid of that problem though. If you download a source kernel well, the instructions are a bit more complicated but the last time I checked it was an RPM. Hope that helps. D Darragh ?
