Well, you will need to be more explicit. If you are just making a new partition using a Windows utility, then I would advise against it. If you are using a stand alone tool, and there is unallocated space on the hard-drive, then it would be all right. If you need to re-size the existing partition to reclaim unused space to create a partition, then I suggest the second hard-drive approach. The reclaiming disk space for re-partitioning is not for the fain-of-heart.
