SUSE speakup kernels

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

I sent some instructions to this list in November or December of last year that detail the installation of speakup in SuSE.

If you cant find them in the archives let me know and I'll rewrite them but I haven't had to do it in a few months now so I don't know how accurate they would be.

Unfortunately there is no rpm for a speakup modified kernel available for SuSE as far as I know but compiling the support for speakup in the SuSE kernel isn't all that difficult. There's one feature that you need to disable in the Lodable modules support menu that detects third party modules and makes sure they don't run but other than that it works fine.

Let me know if I can be of any more assistance.
