running Speakup on the Mac

I have tried it, and indeed it did work, to an extent. I was using 
speech dispatcher, speechd-up and flite, but was able to get it to 
speak. However, at the time, it did not speak any new info that was 
displayed on the console, but screen review keys allowed you to review 
the console and get spoken feedback. It has been several months since I 
tried it, so things may have changed since then.
