If it just hung there, then you most likely don't have the versions of ntfs.sys, and/or ntoskrnl.exe that captive will work with, even if you got them from a win xpsp2 system. You should run captive-install-acquire(1) to put correct versions of those files on your system by either searching for them on mounted file systems, or by grabbing them from macroslop off the web.
