Hello all,

I've re-upgraded to kernel 2.6.13.2 (I downgraded because of the problem I'm about to ass you all about). The problem is this: kernel 2.6.13.2 takes it upon itself to detect my U.S. Robotics Performance Pro Modem (PCI) as ttyS0. The implications of this are obvious: I can't talk to my synth directly anymore with (e.g.) minicom. Kernel 2.6.12.5 and earlier detected my modem as /dev/ttyS14, and kernel 2.4.29 detected it as ttyS4. Any idea what the hell is going on? Oh, and if I don't have a synth plugged in at boot, it gets detected as ttyS2 or something. Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Garrett
