Hi all: I have a couple of questions about DECtalk software and gnopernicus. The first, is that while in X I do the alt-f2 then type gnopernicus, and after getting no responce that I can detect, I jumped back to a console and checked to see of in fact gnopernicus is even running, and acording to ps x it is. I have installed the dectalk software, but maybe not in the correct directory, one was never specified as far as I know. I got the say command to work with both quoted text and a text file in the console, and wonder what I might need also to do to get this critter to run with gnopernicus. Also Festival seems to be happy in a text console according to the instructions for testing, but I can't get that to work with gnopernicus either. I am still using slackware 10.1. Any help would be appreciated, probably best off list, as I am sure that everyone here is tired of hearing about gnopernicus... Thanks much. Cheereo!
