Hi, you may wish to read the speakup users guide it explains fully how to use the speakup proc system. The users guide is found at http://www.linux-speakup.org To access it you would type Echo int > file Replace int with the number you want and replace file with the setting you want to change. Type ls from the proc/speakup directory to get a list of files. To see a file value type more filename. Replace filename with the value you want to see.
