Installing linux using speakup?

What about a double talk lt? I have access to a double talk external.
Can I use this as a speech synth to get speech during the installation
of linux? I eventually want to experiment with gnome. Does it matter
which distribution I get that will work with both speak up and gnome and
gnopernicus?

I don't believe you will be able to use the DECTalk PC to install linux
because it needs to be loaded as a module because of its need of having
software loaded at boot time.
