Hi all,
I sent part of this exchange to the administrator at Shell world. I have
his response below as to the possible of running the bookshare unpack
tool here. if anyone has grater wisdom, especially as some feel it
should be possible, you may want to contact him.
He notes too not getting a response when asking the bookshare people for
guidance.
Karen

Karen,

All I can tell you on this is what I've told you before. I've tried running
the publicly-available Linux binary here, and it will not work. I've tried
running the so-called "test" binary that you were told about and it will not
work. I asked about them possibly making a copy available for FreeBSD, and
received no answer, and unfortunately they do not make their source code
available, so we'll never know if I might possibly be able to get it to compile
here, unless that policy changes. Find me somebody that's actually been able
to make it work under FreeBSD without having to completely re-invent the wheel,
and I'll be glad to talk to them, but short of that, I've done all I can do. I
have no objection to its being installed here at all--it makes no difference to
me--but if it doesn't work, it just doesn't work, and to this point it doesn't
work.
