question about srpms

RPMs are used to build binary RPMs.  The SRPM contains the source code of the
package and the spec file that tells rpmbuild how to create the binary package.
You use rpmbuild to make the package and because of the spec file contained in
the source package, everything is automated and you get a binery rpm package.
