The debian installer manual also says that there is a debian_frontend option that you can set to text, but this may or may not be supported by this iso. I can tell you that the yes/no dialogs seemed to behave differently on my del laptop then they did on my gateway desktop. If Shane's suggestions don't work, you could always choose a non-critical option like the exit option and see if it really exits when you think you are on the yes option.
