Is it possible to boot the Speakup modified Debian Sarge installer with softsynth
support? I tried to boot using

speakup speakup_synth=softsynth

but the kernel hangs right after it is uncompressed and gives no error message.
It says it is booting the kernel, but nothing ever happens.

Thanks,
Lorenzo
