well i don't know how to make work with the modem but i can say that if you get a router you can hook the modem in to it then configure the router to use the modem with the username and password that you need verizon uses pppoe witch is hard to get working with linux or so i'm told but a router would be able to work with the computer just fine once it has ben configured james
