I've been using 2.6.9 for some while now and never had any problems.
I did this a while ago before upgrading my slackware to 10.1. I
haven't attempted a later kernel due to the problems I heard some
folks have with current CVS of speakup and broken cut/paste. Maybe I
should give it a try in case it works for me. I didn't think we had
to do a 'make modules any more' Am I right on that?
