quick and painless pine question?

Hi all,
I have a Pine question, and admit I am in Ernest.
I use pine on my shell service and it is pine 4.61.
Here is my question. I really need to be able to search through my in-box
and save e-amil either from a certain source, or with a certain word or
phrase in the subject line to different folders. A command or command for
doing both will be helpful. I have no desire to search all of the text of
the e-e-mails, as this is not needed, and as I am trying to filter over 7
thousand e-e-mails, want to make this process a swift but reliable one. It
is my understanding that there is a command for this. I already know, for
example, that "w" will allow me to search for a word, but i want to search
for them all by either source, i. e. from whom, or something in the
subject line, and then save all the e-mails at once if possible into a new
folder. How can this be done, and need I create the new folders first?
Thanks much,
Karen l
