Hi folks: Last night we had a city wide power outage which caused much problems with many of our computers even though they were on UPS's. I have a hunch we got power spikes through auxiliary devices which caused much trouble. It unfortunately is bumpy or linux-speakup.org which looks to have suffered the most damage. I am not sure whether it is the video card or the drive interface or a power regulator on the mother board yet. All I know is the power comes on but there is no activity at all on the computer. Further investigations will have to wait until Monday. So for now everything is pretty much dead in the water except for the reflector. I have moved the reflector and echo servers over to spanky so if you are a speak freely user you will need to modify your script to point to spanky.braille.uwo.ca instead of lwl.braille.uwo.ca. You will also have to change your speakfree_lwl_html variable to /lwl/speakup.html for the lwl feature of speak freely.
